Join the Biden School for an Ice Cream Social to kick off UD Alumni Weekend. Biomedical Engineering Alumni Craft Beer Fest

BME will be kicking off alumni weekend with a happy hour at Autumn Arch Beer Project.  Please come and enjoy the casual and fun atmosphere and meet with your friends and professors from BME!

Mechanical Engineering Family Cookout

Hey MechE Family, it’s reunion time! Come on back to Spencer Lab for our 4th Annual MechE Family Cookout. This is an informal, family-friendly event on the front lawn of Spencer Lab (moving inside Spencer Lab if raining). We'll have food, drinks, music, lawn games, and free UD MechE gear for all to enjoy. The UD MechE faculty will be out in full force and would love to see you again.

Learn about UD's work in Climate and Sustainability by finding the scavenger hunt locations on campus. When you are finished, submit your name and email in a drawing for a prize!

Gearhead White Clay Bike Ride

Join us for a fun bike ride! We'll do an out & back loop from Spencer Lab through scenic White Clay with refreshments after. All ability levels welcome. Please bring your own bike and helmet.

Coffee and Printing Workshop at "Petal & Thorn Press" Screen Printing Studio

Participants are invited to choose from various designs to create a series of screen-printed greeting cards and envelopes. Hosted by: Aaron Terry, Department of Art & Design

Coffee and Printing Workshop at "Raven's Press" Letterpress Studio

Old College's Memory Lane

Reconnect and share stories about Old College from your time at UD! Selected stories may be recorded to be featured in the Old College exhibition in Spring 2025.

This event is free, but please register for planning purposes. Walk-ups are welcome, as space allows.

A Closer Look at UDairy Creamery's Production Process

Get a behind the scenes look at the UDairy Creamery. Join us to view a video highlighting our cow to cone process. And visit our processing facility to sample cheese and ice cream and see where our students work and learn.

Cost: $10 per person

  • Children are welcome and must be accompanied by an adult
  • Recommended age for this experience is 10 years and older
  • Walk-ins are welcome, as space allows

Please note: While there are elevators available in Townsend Hall, there will be some walking of approximately .2 miles during the experience.

 

DIY Light Sabers

Experience the Pearson Hall Makerspace, while constructing your own LED Light Saber. No making experience necessary. Training and materials provided. 

Cost: $15 per person

On View: The Influence of Culture, Craft and Substance in Stone Carvings Exhibition

Come explore the 350 minerals on view in the Mineralogical Museum, including specimens from the remarkable founding collection of Irénée du Pont alongside examples of important minerals from around the world.

Delaware Women's Hall of Fame Gallery Tour

University of Delaware is hosting the portrait collection of the Delaware Women’s Hall of Fame inductees in the Lerner Atrium through January 2025. During Alumni Weekend, take the opportunity to view the gallery on a guided tour with expert historian and retired UD faculty member, Professor Emerita Anne Boylan.

Oodles of Doodles: Celebrating “Serious Doodler” James E. Newton

Come and discover the life and legacy of Dr. James E. Newton, founding director of what is today known as the Department of Africana Studies, distinguished UD faculty member, artist, educator, community leader, and activist. Curators and former students and colleagues will be on hand as visitors interact with the art and archival material and a “doodling” station will be available for anyone interested in sketching in the gallery.

UD Athletic Training Program Alumni Social

Please join us for a social celebration of our UD Athletic Training Alumni! We will be honoring the classes of 1999, 2004, 2009, 2014, and 2019 to coincide with UD Alumni Weekend! We hope to see as many of you there as possible and especially capture our local and regional alumni, family, and friends. This is a FREE event for AT alumni and 1 guest.
